Making Special:
Ellen Dissanayake writes, "The concept of making special, making artful or artfully making, allows us to regard art as a behavior rather than the results (the objects, message, or content) of that behavior. Do you agree with her ? Is the idea of making special inherently in us or does it develop culturally? Why or why not?
How can you take this understanding of art as a way of making special and transfer that to your classroom? When do you see children making the ordinary special as they develop artistically? (look at comic text).
I just couldn't leave your website before telling you that I truly enjoyed the top quality info you present to your visitors? Will be back again frequently to check up on new posts.
